Born Into This

This is humanity:
Where solitude is easier
than having friends help you through a problem.

It's easier to say 'I`m ok',
to conform to conversational conventions;
than it is to be honest.

It is not hard to look normal;
It is hard being different.
Born into difference,
Rejected for differences you cannot fathom.

It is easier to treat life
like your mother's womb:

warm,

comforting,

you're alone.


But instead...
I have been born into this.
